Assembled draft for the port district thereby positioning them to obtain matching state funding opportunities on key recreational projects that are planned for the future. As the Port continues to grow and take on a greater role in the county, its vision has widened. It is the Port’s desire to extend it role in helping communities satisfy their recreational needs, especially when the opportunity arises, and can be beneficial for both the community and the Port.

 

Mr. Zollner assembled the draft plan for this purpose. Currently, the Port is focused on Cargill Park, which provides a benefit opportunity not only for the community but the unincorporated area of Burbank and in and around Cargill Business Park. With the recent improvements to U.S. Highway 12, vehicular access will improve tremendously and provide quick and safe  access.
