Project Type: Fontana Park
Fontana Park is a 38 acre new community park that features an open play ball field, formal and informal open space, a community center, plazas and courtyards, a skateboard park, promenade and Spanish fountain, roller hockey structure, aquatic center and experiential play zones for children of multiple ages. The features are tied together with a hierarchy of major promenades, major and minor sidewalks.
As a senior project landscape architect with BMLA Inc., Martin was instrumental in the conceptual design and design development of the park. He managed the schedules, specifications and cost estimates and oversaw the construction documents of the park.
The final product received several awards from the California Parks and Recreation Society for:
